Home Alone --- Diary 6

Today, was what i called a Crusaiders day.Lolz ~ I went for a visit to the Welcome Community Home in Batu Arang, organised by the Crusaiders Club. Early morning, i really can't get myself out from my bed....it seems ages ago that i woke up early in the morning at 6.45am....hahaha ~ I know, im a lazy bump !! Anyway, i reached IMU at around 7.35 AM...thinking that im late...but oh well...it turns out that im actually one of the earliest !! Bravo !!

Right, stop talking crap.....better get on with the main activities. We reach the house at around 10.15 AM, and the whole place was ...erm....in a kampung...hahaha ~ Yea...it looks so like my Alor Setar Kampung...and i can smell the same smell there too.So, just imagine, few houses, in a place....where there are lots of trees around it....having small tiny roads where only one car can move at one time.....the floor are either simen ( and are cracked ) floor...or the ..erm...shud i say muddy floor ?? Okay, lets put this way...it has either floor....or no floor at all...just mud road which has a tiny layer of grass covering on it.We were greeted by the person in charge....i forgotten his name, but he is a very kind person, and he told us the history of this house.....and how, from a house which is occupy by 2 patients turn into a 15 patients house....then till the size now. Oh, by the way, this house is registered under the church.....so, i can't really get funds from the Malaysian Aids Society....and it looks...old ~. One thing special about this house is, the house is actually converted from a chicken barn....hahaha ~ Alright, im just joking...just the dormitory is actually the old chicken barn, the rest are not....but....the whole land is actually used to rare chicken last time. Other buildings except the old chicken barn...is built by the patient in the house.....cool huh ? how many of you out there, healthy and rich can actually build houses ?? Anyway, the person in charge brought us around under the hot sun ( everyone was complaining of hot and mosquitoes......thank god im immune to mosquitoes since i was brought up in a Kampung ).He showed us the pond where fish source comes from,the chicken barn ( yea...real one...not fake one this time ).....erm, the vegetables patch ( or herbal patch...i can't differentiate which is which ....all looks the same to me....greeny and leavy )and yea.....we actually saw Turkey and Goose there...amazing right ?? i told you it a Kampung style house !!One thing funny is.....See Teng actually point at one turkey and ask me...." whats that "....hahah...i nearly burst into laughter......never see a turkey before....and there and then...i realised not many ppl seen real turkey too....so well, teng...u r not the only one !! Then, i teased See Teng too....to go and see the goose...but i wonder she went there or not ....hmm ~ Later, the person in charge also brought us to a ...erm...bush....hahaha...that tree don't look like a tree to me...but looks like a big bush...anyway, the bush has some fruits which is good for throat and he pluck some for us. Im very lucky to get one of the fruits and.....after eating....i can say that....it taste like a cucumber...but just a little bit sour taste in it !!

Next, we were breif by the person in charge's daughter.She is responsible for fund raising.....and hahaha...she is pretty !! Lolz ~ She told us about the charity treasure hunt which is going to be held next friday....oh o....so late only tell us...and hope that we can join.But...i can see most of us are not joining.....to come to batu arang and fed mosquitoes ?? No way ~~ I can actually see some disappointment in her eyes...when she told us that the response by the public is not as expected......and yea...she told us to get some fund raising going on in IMU too....so, i guess, the most that we can help...and will help...is to have a fund raising....and collect as much money as we could. Later.....we were brought to the White House....okay...not America's White House, mind you...you can't see Josh Bush there !! I guess its called the white house...coz...it really is in white colour....the whole building !! Im serious....not joking...whole building...not a patch is other colours !! The building is actually some British Army office or what ever....and...you know...just looks ...erm..britishly ( to me ) . One thing extra is...they have a big cross at the roof....and when you see that, you would think the whole building is actually a Church !! But, its not. The Nuns bought the place from the british...and i guess thats why they have the cross there....and if you are at the back of the building and at the roof top, you can actually see a small statue of Mother Mary there....gazing at the hills and trees.

So, there, again, we were brought around by the same person....up and down.....we even went up the roof top via a spiral staircase....amazing huh ?? Oh rite...i just realised that i didn't explain what is the purpose of White House. It is actually a new home for the patients in the home.....( i guess the old chicken barn shud really be destroyed....its too old...). With this new building, the home can get more patients into the house so that they won't wander around either in the hospitals or the back street of Chow Kit ( thats what the person in charge said.... ) and finally lie died too . But well, i have no idea how the patients can go up to the roof top.......hahaha ~ Its nice there....but....too high up !! Right, later, we went down again, after having fun looking around the place. You know what we do ?? We Worked !! yea....work !! We transfer 3 big longgok of tiles into 3 different rooms. Don't try and think its nothing !! All of us was so tired and are sweating hard after the doing that.We have like...40 ppls....and imagine that we used like....30 minutes to transfer all the tiles....whats more, there are some insects on the tiles...and some of the tiles are so dirty....yet....we didn't complaint...and work hard !!

After the work, we went back to the old home...and had our lunch there. We distributed all the dishes from a big pot into ard 80 plates and then.....had our lunch. Actually, i feel so embarrasing to eat there...since i did nothing except shifting the tiles....and they already said they need funds.....yet if we eat there...won't we cost them more ?? BUt well.....they keep asking us to eat...so in the end, to not disappoint them, See Teng and I shared one glass of syrup and one plate of rice. Good rite ?? hahaha ~ After the lunch...i don't know why...we just sit there...and start talking to each other while the patients went for a nap. Lolz ~ Then....before the patients woke up....we left the house.Seriously...i don't call this helpling the home...we are like going there to visit.....and eat !! ish....feel so ashamed of myself now !! Well, well.... we can't do anything more can we ??

On the journey back.....most of us fell asleep.....even me too !! Lolz ~ Of coz ler....i slept at 3 Am in the morning ( had a bad insomia ) and woke up at 7 this morning....and now...im pretty slepy !! But, all in all, i think most of us done a good job....at least we saw the patients....the house....how they need us....how we shouldn't go for drugs ....how we should be aware of aids. So, now, the only thing we can do...is wait....until the term starts again...and organised a fund raising.Hopefully......hoepfully....the house really get the amount of money they wanted !! Hopefully !!!

p/s : if you ask me how an AIDS person looks like.....erm...i can only say, they looks like normal patients....old, thin....some of them have little bit of ....erm..how to you say....alright...just imagine...old ppl..thing...and have patches of scar that actually are not scars...they are wound....Yep.thats the most i can describe.Really...if you don't tell me they are AIDS patient...i don't even realised that fact ~!!
