The Art Of Listen
Just read a little story from my friend's blog in friendster. The story was about a Tv host and a little Boy.There was this show, where the host invited a little boy to the show and ask him some question.
Host : What do you want to be when you grow up ?
Boy: I want to be a pilot
Host: if one day, the plane is going to crash becoz it has insufficient fuel, what will you do then ?
Boy: i would tell the passengers to buckle their safety belt and sit still, while i will put on the parashot and jump down from the window of the plane.
So, the guest in the hall was laughing at the boy's idea and teased him for being so selfish. Then, the TV host, saw the little boy was so sad, his eyes was filled with tears as if he has something else more to say.
So, again, he asked the boy
Host: why do u want to jump off the plane ?
Boy : Becoz i want to go and get more fuel....i didn't meant that i will leave the passenger....i will come back.........i want to save every1 else
This is the art of listen....how many ppl in this world that actually wait until the person who speaks finish his sentence before expressing their opinions ? This is so unfair to the person who spoke and you may not understand what he is trying to tell......all you will know is, what is IN YOU MIND...instead of the thing he is trying to express.
There are ppl who also reads between the lines.....sometimes, it might be a simple, single line sentence, and he will think that there must be some trick between the words and always thinks that the author has something more to say beside that short sentence.Isn't that horrible ??
I do not deny that, sometimes, im reading between lines and sometime, i didn't even give ppl the chance to finish their sentence before expressing my opinion...Sigh ~ Pathetic rite ? anyway, what im trying to stress here is, give other ppl a chance...and listen.....and don't try to be too smart and read between the lines coz sometimes, its just a simple instruction and for what u read between lines ??
have a nice day ~
